04/19/2005: Rats to Pope Ratzinger
The Tribune is reporting Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger elected pope in an article by William J. Kole (Associated Press Writer):
"VATICAN CITY -- Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger of Germany was named pope shortly after white smoke poured from a chimney at the Vatican and bells tolled on Tuesday evening, announcing to the world that a new pope was elected in the first papal conclave of the new millennium.
Crowds in St. Peter's Square chanted: "Viva il Papa!" or "Long live the pope!"
Well, It'll be: 1200 a.d. HERE WE COME for this Pope. Bleh! So much for "wishes."
