until the Cardinals-Pirates game on ESPN, I've got the tube tuned into ESPN, which is broadcasting the NCAA Championship (I have no idea if it's the finals or not, and, meaning no disrespect to either team, I really don't care) Lacrosse match between Syracuse and Navy. We've gotten a couple shots of the Navy sidelines and bench, and there are a couple senior officers (captains) over by the bench.

I'm wondering why one of them is a JAG captain.

But, I'm pissed. ESPN is going to stay with this "faggot college activity" (George Carlin's phrase, not mine) until it's over, which means we won't get to the Cards game until it's in the middle of the first or maybe the second inning.

Jeezus! Let's get our fucking priorities straight. Lacrosse might be OK as filler, but to preempt a baseball game for it? It's bad enough that the goddamn NHL playoffs have been known to preempt a few baseball games; and I'm sure that the NBA playoffs have done the same thing. But for lacrosse?

Someone at ESPN needs to be taken out and shot. Now.

UPDATE: The Cardinals win, 8-3, and I didn't miss anything other than the first two Pirate runs. In particular, I didn't miss Scott Rolen's three run homer in the top of the third that pretty much blew the game wide open. In gratitude, I've decided not to bomb ESPN's headquarters. Unless they pull this kind of shit again.
