Dark Bilious Vapors

But how could I deny that I possess these hands and this body, and withal escape being classed with persons in a state of insanity, whose brains are so disordered and clouded by dark bilious vapors....

What did I do to deserve this? I hear that the Cardinals came to terms with free agent second baseman Mark Grudzielanek (terms: one year, $1 million, according to ESPN).

Offhand (being too lazy to run the statistics right now), I'd rate that a better acquisition than retaining Tony Womack; as one analyst pointed out, both of them performed to roughly the same level last year, but one (Womack) was having a career year, and the other wasn't. If we (arbitrarily) restrict the choice to Womack or The Other Guy, the Cards made the right choice.

My one reservation about this deal? I really, really don't want to be trying to guess my way around spelling "Grudzielanek" all season. This post is probably the only time I'll get it right all season, and that's only because I'm copying and pasting it. *sigh*

I think we, the community of cardinals fans, should just agree to refer to him as 'Grudz' and sidestep the whole issue.

Howdy Len, I wanted to put a link to your site on my humble blog. If that's cool with you send me the name of your site as you would like it to appear and the URL to the page you would like me to refer to. Thanks a ton,
CardinalJohn
